Using Mallory’s time tested breakerless ignition circuit, combined with modern surface mount Thermal-Clad® construction, the kit can drive any ignition coil or combination of ignition coils with a total primary resistance of at least 2.0 ohms. • We recommend ignition coils with 2.3-3.0 ohms for racing applications and ignition coils with 3.0-4.0 ohms for street and highway use. • Incorporates an infrared light beam and an optical interrupter to trigger the ignition.
